What a nice list!

I will check the "unknown" names, because I think we have similar tastes in music.

Did you bought Kate Bush "The Sensual World" LP. There's a limited edition released by "Audio Fidelity". You can order it from ebay or from the Audio Fidelity site. A nice collector's item for Kate Bush-fans. Also "Hounds of Love" was re-released by Audio Fidelity.

I also bought the Kate Bush Japan mini-lp's.

I think you gonna love this following act, Crazycrazy!! :D

>>>>> TOP 50 ALBUMS OF 2011 <<<<<

50. Nina Hagen - Volksbeat
(Punk / Germany)
Image
Favourite Tracks:
"Nicht Vergessen" and "Soma Koma".

'Volksbeat' show us a new Nina Hagen, the beloved Mother Of Punk, now singing in German! She's a very christian lady nowadays, so it had some influence on the choices for covers and original songs - just like her previous album, 'Personal Jesus'. Nina's voice is still strong and explosive - which I love -, but I don't think it's one of her best works. We were expecting for something like her 80s and 90s efforts: incisive lyrics, guitars and a fully punk-attitude.
49. Ana Belén - A Los Hombres Que Amé
(Pop / Spain)
Image
Favourite Tracks:
"La Banda" and "Las Cuatro Y Diez".

'A Los Hombres Que Amé" is an interesting tribute album, which features some of the biggest Spanish classics performed by Ana Belén. The highlight is her Spanish/Portuguese cover version of "La Banda" [A Banda], a 1966 Brazilian hit by the legendary Chico Buarque.
MUSIC SUGGESTION:
Ana Belén - La Banda (A Banda)

48. Zola Jesus - Conatus
(Psychedelic / USA)
Image
Favourite Tracks:
"Ixode" and "Vessel".

Not really impressed about most of songs, but she has a very interesting style! It's an unusual experience: so relaxing and crazy at the same time.
47. And One - Tanzomat
(Synthpop / Germany)
Image
Favourite Tracks:
"Dancing In The Factory" and "Seven".

Probably the worst album cover of the year, but it has some great synthpop songs. And One sounds much Depeche Mode-alike, so I think many Ukmixers would like them.
MUSIC SUGGESTION:
And One - Dancing In The Factory
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDLOC3fo4wM

This song will make you want to dance! :P

46. Kate Havnevik - You
(Alternative / Norway)
Image
Favourite Tracks:
"Disobey" and "Castaway".

This album is a grower. As I said before, "You" sounds like an old Imogen Heap album, and I really like some songs on it.
45. Vanguart - Boa Parte de Mim Vai Embora
(Folk Rock / Brazil)
Image
Favourite Tracks:
"Mi Vida Eres Tu" and "Engole (Arde Mais Que Brasa Em Pele Quente)".

Good alternative Brazilian bands are hard to find... Vanguart is one of them! I like particularly their lyrics - some are really funny!
MUSIC SUGGESTION:
Vanguart - Mi Vida Eres Tu

44. Kaiser Chiefs - The Future Is Medieval
(Indie Rock / UK)
Image
Favourite Tracks:
"Little Shocks" and "Heard It Break".

'The Future Is Medieval' sounds very good, despite there's nothing really innovative in this album. So, this 'future' is a past thing, as they said, but you can easily enjoy its songs!
43. Gal Costa - Recanto
(MPB / Brazil)
Image
Favourite Tracks:
"Miami Maculelê" (com Caetano Veloso) and "Tudo Dói".

'Recanto' is an experimental work, a collaborative album wrote and produced by Caetano Veloso, with vocals by Gal Costa - one of the most iconic Brazilian voices of all time. Who would expect to listen this 66 years old legend singing by such Björk's 'Vespertine'-alike background? Or a funk (the same genre that M.I.A. used on her song "Bucky Done Gun") track? Or even using autotune?! It's definitely a box of surprises!
MUSIC SUGGESTION:
Gal Costa - Miami Maculelê
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gE24MHsRecs

* EXTRA! - One of her classics ("Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4nl8uNXD6Q [Gal Costa and Tom Jobim]
