Album sales btw wouldn't in no way guarantee these high revenue, these days Touring is what all about when it comes to make the real money, and still Madonna is second to none.

Just a shame the earnings are overtaking the music and for me that's all Madonna is about.
I didn't become a fan because of the fragrance, the vodka, movies or the clothing line!
To me Madonna is the soundtrack of my life and every song brings back lots of memories!
So M let's focus at music!!!

I agree , she may not be putting much effort to it in the old fashioned way( 4 or 5 music videos, TV performances and interviews, award shows, etc) but it´s definitely about music yet!
Just take a look at the tour, ~2 hours of all new performances from old and new songs!
Endorsements , deals and merchandising have nothing to do with the lack of promo regarding MDNA.
Focus change does! :wink:

True! MDNA was only an excuse to go on tour. I don't have anything against Madonna touring, but to release an album with 0 promotion and expect to sell and have hit songs is pretentious even for artist of her caliber.

I'm only saying this 'cos I believe MDNA is good album, and therefore I wish more people were aware of that, but unfortunately, only hardcore music followers and Madonna fans are familiar with this release. Lucky for her she has a strong fan base.

You are right, she's still a singer first of all, but with all these millions she could make at least 2 amazing videos for the next singles, so this era won't be remembered just for the tour of the records. At least ONE video :evil:

Stop complaining! I prefer it like this then a bad album and good sales :roll:

BTW, Madonna this year has earned a Golden Globe, released a great album with acceptable sales for 2012. Released 2 singles so far with two great videos. It's about to go on a tour that seems to be a lot better then her last one (at least the concepts this time seem interesting), and she's selling tickets at these prices like she's the hottest thing ever!

This is a great year to be a Madonna fan!

Yeah not everything is perfect so what? No era is!

I see Adele fans sad because 21 didn't manage a 213284063489 week at #1 in a certain coutry...people are NEVER happy! :roll:

Do you really like the two first videos?
I didn't love HU and Sorry but I find them quite decent. I just couldn't say the same about the ones from MDNA.
In my opinion MDNA is underperforming above all because the videos are under expectations. Simply my point of view.

I have to agree with you on this! No great videos! And alongside with music, Madonna is also known by her outstanding videos, and this era is missing them!

I absolutely disagree with both of you !
GMAYL and GGW are two of the weakest tracks of MDNA but their videos are great!
And two of her best since a long time .For me, they´re even better than "Hung Up" and "Sorry" !

Really? You think? The only part of the GMAYL video tha i like is the Marilyn part. And from GGW I only like the dance part, overall I think it's a very lame and lazy video just like G2M!

I agree with everything you´ve said but the "American Life"´s era videos.
The original video for the title track was actually great (but unfortunately was not released!).
"Hollywood" is one of her worst songs IMO but the video is quite good!
Apart from that, I agree that we haven´t seen so good videos from her in a loong time!

Music+Don't tell me: the last 2 first videos that i really loved. For me after that era most of her videos were cheap (AL, GITM, Celebration) or very very cheap (Love profusion, Get together, Jump).

Exactly! We just see that she is beautiful and in shape. And yes, she can dance. And? Really not so different from G2M (that is quite trashy IMO :-)
