Her voice is very good but she misses something, she's bland.

Joshua needs to win BTW.

Don't be sorry, she I agree. She just doesn't seem ready. She has such a weak lower register, her belting saves her. It's like she's still not ready this year as she doesnt seem to have any artistry.

Jimmy was right, she's like a pageant/high school performer.

Skylar needs to go, she looks 40, is annoying and screeches. She had one phenomenal performance a while back and now keeps screeching like she's such a power singer.

Jess needs to win, Phillip is hot also and very rounded as an artist.

I like Elise and I feel so sorry for her, she's so much older than the other guys but gets treated like a silly child. It must be really difficult for her to think of this as her last chance whilst the others are just starting out.

Joshua needs to drop the Mantasia act, it's making me physically sick watching him.

I was apologizing for spilling the tea!

I agree with you on Elise, she's such a unique singer. I love everything from her voice to her looks.

Now, you didn't just come for Joshua like that! :o
The guy is the most talented, passionate singer in the competition. All of his performances are brilliant, he needs to win it.

Jessica should be the runner-up. I mean, she already has a music career guaranteed. If Joshua doesn't take the crown, I sure hope she does.

But, in my opinion, Philip will win it. He is the typical AI winner, and he's never been on the bottom 3. I like him, he's a great singer, but come on...

I also disagree with you on Skylar. Her "Born This Way" performance was far better than the unbearable original, for example.

So glad with last nights result. Country singers get far too much credit on that show.

As Skylar said herself, she likes to do a rockin song and a ballad. Unfortunately that's all she can do act 'feisty' or start screaming.

Joshua is a phenomenal singer, but coupled with his camp mannerisms and facial expressions, I think he'll have a really hard time making any credible career outside of American R n B/ Gospel. He makes his own performances cringeworthy sometimes.

Phillip will definitely be in the finalm, probably against Hollie knowing how this show almost always ends up.

Steven Tyler is the worst judge ever. He has all the experience but just talks pure crap.

Sooooo glad Skylar is gone! :D I never liked her. I thought her voice was annoying.

I'm surprised Hollie made it this far to be honest, I thought she would have been gone weeks ago.

Of course glad to see Jessica and Joshua there.

Phillip is interesting. He's the dark horse, he could win.

Joshua is an amazing singer, but I think he'll fall short of the final. It'll be Jessica and Phillip in the final.

I thought Skylar's both performances were verging on atrocious so for me the result was what I expected. Next to go should be Phillip - I have the feeling I am listening to one and same song from him every week, I still fail to see why Americans continue to vote for him ... For me Jessica is the one who deserves to win!

Elise went as far as she could go, her performances were all becoming samey.

As for last week, it was a really tough show. Almost everybody did good, I think Hollie had her best week ever, she had two excellent performances. Joshua was faultless, Skylar was pretty strong and while Jessica could've given a bit more in her first performance she killed the second one.

Only Phillip for me was bad, he's so MOR and boring and all the songs he chooses are terrible. Really annoying how he keeps getting through, I just think he's got no competition in this anymore.

Skylar would've been my next pick to go after Phillip, I'm just glad Jessica and Hollie are the top two girls and we won't have another country winner.

Makes sense that Hollie would leave this week, she'd gone as far as she could I guess.

Joshua & Jessica have to be in the finals.
If this happens, it will be the best AI final since I can remember!

This is so true!

Joshua is kinda overrated, he's very talented but but his performances are so annoying as of late. The "You Raise Me Up" performance was so forced, I don't know if that's a church thing, but it's like he badly wants a huge moment for his song by screeching the high notes and going ballistic all the time towards the end. He also doesn't know how to soften his tone in songs like "Imagine" and "You Raise Me Up" which to me should be performed in a solemn and calming way to get the message across. I think his mannerisms look better on a female singer (let's say Fantasia or Mary J. Blige who he evidently emulates) rather than on a guy like him.

And what the hell is up with Steven? Always saying "over the top" all the time!?

I think Joshua was the best this week, so it's pretty crazy America voted Phillip into the final instead! :-? Phillip is gonna win, and it doesn't make sense to me, because Jessica and Joshua would have been great winners unlike we have been used to at this show recently!

Joshua not being in the final is a huge shock, out of the three I had him down as the dead cert!

So glad Jessica made it, she needs to SLAY Phillip in the final now - I'm looking for another "I Will Always Love You" from her.

I think that Joshua is the best vocalist among these 3. It reminds me of Melinda Doolittle.

The fact that Joshua has not made it to the finals, yet Philip has done it, shows how racist America really is. He is one of the best vocalists ever on AI, the best since Adam Lambert, and one of the best singers I've ever heard, easily comparable to the greats of Soul music.

His rendition of No More Drama made feel similar to how Fantasia's Summertime makes me feel. It's something I can't describe. Something magical.

I'll be looking forward to his album.

This!

I just can't see how America could vote him off after he delivered one incredible performance after another. He sang with so much soul, so much passion, so much heart! His voice sends chills to my head even! It's eliminations like his that made me give up on the show in the first place. :(

Told you.

Sad for Joshua though, he is an incredible talent.

But I'm so happy for Jessica and Phillip, they're both amazing. Phillip is an artist and Jessica has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard on a talent show.

I am sad for Joshua as he is an immense talent. I can understand why he was voted out though. The majority of his later performances were all very forced.

He went straight into church mode all of the time totally discarding any melodies in favour of that raspy screeching (which I love at certain points just not extra like Joshua relied on).

Like Getback said... it was too much, tooo feminine and forced week on week.

Remember when they criticised Jessica for using that growl (which I agree with because I hate it). Well she went and changed it as it is just one of the tricks she employs. Joshua kept on kept on and kept on using that same ending vein bursting screech but kept on using more and more of it.

I really doubt he'll have a career outside of American Gospel etc which is a shame because if he had of channeled his awesome talent into something a bit more contemporary i.e. Cee-Lo, Janelle Monae just to maintain some sort of relevant context yet he didn't.

These 'church singers' after Fantasia whilst heaped praise, never win. Jacob Lusk, Melinda the list goes on.

Philip always sounds the same to me and nothing has been said about that.

And Jessica has gotten where she is thanks to her signature growls, which I love. Her last performances were dull, I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing was painfully annoying to hear imo.

Joshua's performances may sound forced to you but to me they sound emotional, passionate - the majority of times, of course.

A J&J finale would be brilliant, but this result was expectable and I also expect Phil to win.
