Glad you like Kylie's track. :)

Noahh wrote:Yet again a perfect bunch of songs! Not a big fan of All The Lovers but it's definitely not a bad song! :)

My favorite songs of this bunch are:

Jennifer Lopez - Papi
Nicki Minaj - Roman In Moscow
Agnes - Release Me
Britney Spears - Hot As Ice
Britney Spears - Piece Of Me
Mariah Carey - Obsessed

Can't wait to see some more results! :D
I promise that it only gets more epic as we get higher.

Mean and LOT should be higher, but nice to see Obsessed, one of my fav Mariah's song
Yes, but thanks for voting for it. Now every song has at least one vote. 8-)

swiftie13 wrote:Gee do we have a Britney fan here?!??! :P and besides them, the epic All The Lovers is here yay haha :D and than Minaj track is good but nothing great
"Roman In Moscow" is fierce. Deal.

phoenix98 wrote:ooh...two groups in a row with three Britney songs each! it's as if you're a fan of hers or something... (I just noticed that swiftie made (almost) the exact same joke, but I'm not gonna take mine out because I'm proud of it.)

aaany rate, as I've mentioned before, I don't go wild over "Get Back" the way a lot of fans on UKMix do. it's nice, but I think it's fine as just a bonus track. definitely NOT lead single material!

"Your Love Is My Drug" is fantastic! my favorite Ke$ha single and one of my top tunes of 2010.

"Hot As Ice" is alright...not the best on Blackout, but not the worst either. I still don't quite get it, though...how can fire be cold and ice be hot?

"Piece Of Me", on the other hand, is definitely one of several highlights on Blackout. I remember being so relieved when it got a "normal" video after the hot mess that was the final cut of "Gimme More"!

"All The Lovers" = epic! the perfect "comeback" song for Kylie. and, as you know, my No. 1 hit of 2010. <3

it's really nice to see some Mariah in your Top 100 too! "Obsessed" definitely isn't one of her best lead singles, but I'm glad it got her another Top 10 in the US. I never knew it topped your chart!
Paul, you're a riot! But yes, "Your Love Is My Drug" is absolutely fabulous and I think it's probably replaced "TiK ToK" as my fave Ke$ha song to date.

And yes, "Obsessed" was #1 back in August, 2009. I loved the music video for it.

stevyy wrote:Piece of Me is great.

thanks again for introducing me to "My Dilemma"! it's definitely one of the best non-singles on When The Sun Comes Down (along with "Middle Of Nowhere" and "We Own The Night").

I'm not a massive fan of "Cheers", but the use of the Avril sample is definitely pretty interesting. if her label hadn't been in such a rush to start the Talk That Talk era, I think it could've become an even bigger hit than it was.

speaking of the Talk That Talk era, "We Found Love" = <3 <3 <3. definitely one of Rihanna's best singles...actually, it's a very stronger contender for my ABSOLUTE favorite Rihanna single ever.

I don't love "Mr. Know It All" quite as much as I did when it first came out, partially because I discovered several better songs on Stronger, but it's still enjoyable.

I really didn't like "Hard" on first listen, mainly because I was expecting Rihanna to follow up GGGB with an album full of songs in the vein of "Don't Stop The Music" and "Disturbia". of course, I've grown to really appreciate "Hard" and Rated R.

"Two More Lonely People" = fantastic. should've been a single!

From #80-#71:

Papi - Great song, very underrated and deserved "On The Floor" type of success as it's much better. Not her best though

Get Back - Great and one of the best tracks on "Blackout". Should have been released as a single

Piece of Me - A great song and I'm sad that it flopped as a single.

Obsessed - A good Mariah song though it's far from her best. Not the best track from "Memoirs..." too, and it's a wrong choice selecting this as the lead single. The video is a little meh, but it's one of Mariah's best videos.

I loathe "Roman In Moscow", "Your Love Is My Drug". Haven't heard "No Parade" and "Release Me". "Hot as Ice" and "All The Lovers" are decent but they are all not my type of songs.

From #70-#61:

My Dilemma - A good Selena Gomez song though not as great as "Love You Like A Love Song" or "Who Says". Selena is my favourite Disney artist of all-time and her latest album is kind of good but still abit teenage-ish.

Fly - My second favourite Nicki track after "Super Bass". Rihanna's feature in the song really helps to make the song better and it's someone inspirational. Good track and the video for this is decent.

Cheers (Drink To That) - It's very infectious at the start and I got easily addicted to this song but after overplaying it I realised this was not a good song at all (same for "You Da One"). The video is very cheapskate too and it's one of Rihanna's worst videos IMO.

Someone Like You - My favourite song of 2011! It's also one of my favourite ballads of all-time and Adele's really had a phenomenal year. "Someone Like You" will surely become a classic in time to come (along with "Rolling In The Deep"). The fact that this song topped the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks admist all the generic dance-pop tunes just proves how amazing this song is.

I Need A Doctor - One of my favourite rap tunes of 2011. I especially like Skylar Grey's verse as I think it really stands out. Eminem's rapping is much better than Dre's too and it is very easy to distinguish them in this song (usually, I can't distinguish who is rapping what in a rap duet).

We Found Love - Vastly overrated but a great song, easily Rihanna's best lead single so far. It topping the Hot 100 for 11 weeks was undeserved too IMO as it's too similar to many dance-pop tunes. It has an amazing video however and that video is in my top 5 videos of 2011.

Mr. Know It All - Not one of my favourite Kelly singles but this was still quite good. I like the lyrics as it's quite inspirational in some ways. I prefer "What Doesn't Kill You" to be the lead single as compared to this though as "What Doesn't Kill You" would have been a massive hit if it was the lead single (much bigger than it is now).

I've already said how I feel about Swift, dislike "Hard" and have always found it overrated and I hate Miley Cyrus in general.

You're welcome. You've introduced me to so many great new songs/artists that for me to introduce you to one measly little track is nothing.

I'm actually embarrassed that "We Found Love" ended up so high seeing as I kinda loathe it now. :(

Whoa! Thanks for taking the time to write such an in-depth review! :o

I agree with you that "Papi" deserved the success "On The Floor" got. Personally, I think it's the better song.

"Get Back" is incredible, there's no doubt about it, but I just don't think it would've worked out well as a single when there were so many tracks on Blackout that were better single options.

And yes, Eminem's verses on "I Need A Doctor" totally make the song. Even though he was supposed to be the featured act, he ended up being the main event.

Oh, and you think "We Found Love" is RiRi's best lead single? *Wonders if Tripolis and Paul are hearing the same song I'm hearing*

You should definitely check out "No Parade" and "Release Me".

"Firework" = fantastic! it's a very tight race between it and "Teenage Dream" for my favorite TD single (though I think TD has a slight edge). it was one of my absolute biggest hits of 2010!

I liked "The Story Of Us" when I first bought Speak Now, but it didn't truly stand out to me until it became an official single. such a shame that it has the distinction of being her only official single to never reach the Hot 100 Top 40!

"Love You Like A Love Song" = excellent! although I've played "Who Says" a bit more, I still think I'd consider LYLALS to be Selena's best single since "Naturally". the video is fabulous too, I love the karaoke theme!

"Right Thru Me" = one of my favorite Nicki singles, just behind "Super Bass" and "Your Love".

I'm Into You - Personally one of my favourite J-Lo ballads ever but its performance chart-wise makes me think that the general audience doesn't have the same opinion as me. I agree it's weaker than "Papi" and "On The Floor" though.

Like My Mother Does - A great country single and is one of my favourite debut song from an Idol contestant ever.

Firework - Definitely one of the best songs of 2010/2011. It is up there with Perry's best along with "E.T." and "The One That Got Away". It has a great video too and I'm glad to see it rank this high.

Love You Like A Love Song - My favourite Selena Gomez song. The video is a bit meh though, but the catchiness of the tune somewhat makes up for it. I enjoy the chorus the most as I find it pretty unique (the repeat-peat-peat-peat part).

Run The World (Girls) - My favourite lead single from Beyoncé ever. I don't understand the criticism this tune gets as its pure fire! I really enjoy her live performances of this song because it really shows how great she is as an all-rounded artist as her choreography for the dance is very professional. My favourite performance of this song has to be the one at the Billboard Music Awards.

Not heard "Watch You Go", "Right Thru Me" and I dislike "Bottoms Up".

it's a bit funny how Usher shamelessly jumped on the dance bandwagon with "OMG" and "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" after "Papers", "Hey Daddy", and "Lil Freak" didn't really take off. but hey, I love both "OMG" and "DJ...", so I can't really complain!

both of those Kylie songs making your Top 50 makes me a very happy Paul! I'm so glad that you fell in love with them!

"Alejandro" = great. not one of my favorite Gaga singles, but still great! the video, on the other hand...

I don't loooove any of those Taylor tunes, but "Today Was A Fairytale" is certainly cute and "Better Than Revenge" is like a...slightly inferior "The Story Of Us". only slightly, though! if BTR had become the single instead of TSOU, I might feel differently...but probably not. ;)

is an overextended borefest. Yay! Look at me, I''m finishing your sentences.

Much thanks again for introducing me to Kylie. "Your Disco Needs You" and "Turn It Into Love" are gems and I never would have discovered them were it not for you. :)
