I'm really happy to see Beyonce at #3, YAY!!!!
But I dont agree with some of the list, Whitney should be higher and sorry but I dont think madonna should be #1 and I think they've been drawn into the hype factor, in the way that they've put too many current artists to high on the list because there all hyped up at the moment rather than looking at every artists whole career as whitney trumps basically all others when it comes to the amount of CLASSIC songs an artists produced, I think the only current artists that deserves her ranking in the Top 10 is Beyonce as she has proven herself with 4 in terms of creating critically acclaimed music that will last decades.

Celine sold more than every act on that list - bar Madonna.

Now, I know that sales aren't the be all and end all, but she's arguably one of the more influential divas, ever also.

She SHOULD be top 10. Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Rihanna - they should all be lower.

CHUFFED to bits at Mariah's position though.

Im sorry but Celine should not be too high. She isn't that influential in America just successful. Madonna, Aretha, Tina, Whitney are the true pioneers.

My biggest problem is that Adele is FAR too high. By those standards, shouldn't Celine, Alanis, and Shania automatically be top 5 too?

Celine is a legend, and if not a legend, definitely a icon. Way more than I can say for 3 years ADELE.

Celine is a legend but her influence is no where near Madonna, Diana, Aretha, Tina, Whitney and even Beyonce. I never said Gaga and Adele should be that high. Beyonce, Gaga, and Adele should not be in top 5 but Celine doesnt belong there either. I wouldnt even have Mariah in top 10. It had to be fan voted. I'm fine with Madonna being #1 but everyone else??????????????????????????????????????????

Mariah is a massive influence in America and a legend! No two ways about that! She deserves her position. But Celine should be 3!

Yes! Celine is one of the biggest selling female artists of all time. Her position in history is secure! Her records speak for themselves. She deserves to be so much higher than the likes of GaGa, Adele, Beyonce! Aretha Franklin should be top 5 too but isn't even on the list! This list is whack! Theres no point even arguing!

Aretha, Tina, Barbra, and a lot of legends didn't qualify because VH1 thought their prime was in the 60's-80's. Stupid criteria, but that's how it is.

I said one of the biggest selling female artists of all time. And I'm not going by sales but sales indicate popularity and success and therefore influence and there is no doubt about Celines influence on music. You said you wouldn't even put Mariah in the top 10 which is absolutely ridiculous because you must not be familiar with all her achievements in music at all.

First of all personal opinion. 2nd, You must be new to UKmix to say I don't know much about Mariah's achievements. I know all about that but there are women who have changed music in a bigger way than Mariah that don't have her sales. Mariah has the sales/hits but the fact that she never did anything on stage is why I rank her lower than others.

Some say If you weed out those who use auto tune then there would only be about 50 on this list.

 This "list" (if you could even call it that) is jokes at best. Celine Dion should be higher, top ten high. But definitely not higher than Whitney and Aretha. No mam!

[#8 for Christina Aguilera] is quite impressive, considerin' she's not hyped, and it's at her lowest point in her entire career, the fans did a good job :)
Anyways, Celine Dion is not extremely influential in the USA to be honest, she WAS extremely succesful, now Mariah, Whitney, Madonna are in the top 10 which is awesome. I would've placed Celine in the top 10 as well... just because she's not put out an album in 3 years doesn't mean she's not big enough to land a spot in the top 10... She's actually lower than JLo (and I love JLo!!)
Adele and Lady GaGa in the top 10 is way too high.
I would've added Shakira in the top 20, and Carrie U ??? Who is her ??

1. The list is not fan voted.

2. I think it's from the 90s till now.

3. Aretha, Diana Ross, Tina, etc. is from a different decade obviously not on or high on the list!

Some people!

That is all. :)
