That's not a fair comparison because Selena and her band are a totally different group, plus their labels are vastly different. Hollywood Records is a joke and let their artists' albums die from lack of promo.

A better comparison would be Jonas Brothers or even Justin Bieber.

The first single hasn't even peaked yet, so I think it has at least 2 months in it, before we see the second single impacting. They shouldn't rush. I think 1D is here to stay.

I think the third week is the most important. It'll show us if he album balances off or if it sinks.

Last week's No. 1 album, One Direction's "Up All Night," slips to No. 4 with 55,000 (down 69%)...

One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful" is steady at No. 7 (164,000; up 21%)...

I'd really love to see WMYB jump into the Hot 100 Top 10, but not sure if those sales will be enough. still, it'll certainly get a new peak this week!

aw, SO close to the Top 10! they should make it next week though, as they're gaining on radio and holding strong at No. 6 + No. 161 on iTunes.

Sales are leveling out. Not bad. I mean if you look at it, these sales are on the back of WMYB alone, so I'm not too worried. Once the other singles are released (and I believe they'll be surefire hits), sales will remain stable.

What? I was just saying they'll sell better than Sel. And both JBs definitely peaked around the 2 million copies mark. It definitely looks like 2-3 million copies is the mark for teeny acts. But 1D is a boyband so they may also get the gay crown and eventually the mainstream crowd and be like BSB and *Nsync.
