Well done for supporting the German entry!Rihab95 wrote:I bought it on iTunes but I don't know why because I actually don't like it.
I'd rate Taken By A Stranger 10/10, Satellite 8/10 and Standing Still 4/10 max.
I don't understand why VEVO is blocked only in Germany...Wolfsmagik wrote:German videos are some of the hardest to watch on Youtube here in the States due to all the licensing. Yay. It works for me.NoAngels wrote:Apparently he was a DSDS (German Idol) hopeful, I knew I've seen that face!
Btw guys, you can always listen to songs on the German YouTube (MyVideo), here it is it works for me, well at least this link.
Because of the GEMA... They only allow music to be played (also on radio etc.) if it's getting paid for using them...greek_boy wrote:I don't understand why VEVO is blocked only in Germany...Wolfsmagik wrote:German videos are some of the hardest to watch on Youtube here in the States due to all the licensing. Years ago they asked No Angels, the most successful German girlgroup of all time, to perform and when they did so, they reached the last positiongreek_boy wrote:^Tbh, i'm kinda bored of talent shows for new artists. I wanted Germany to ask a well-known artist to take part or just hold a national final.
Their song was generic & weak and the performance was a bit messy and boring.Timmy94 wrote:Years ago they asked No Angels, the most successful German girlgroup of all time, to perform and when they did so, they reached the last positiongreek_boy wrote:^Tbh, i'm kinda bored of talent shows for new artists. It says it will be released on February the 21st.greek_boy wrote: What about the physical release of the song?
When you mention the ESC, the last thing you think of is originality. Most songs are generic, cheesy and weak, not to mention some stupid ones.greek_boy wrote:

We had this over a long time but after so many disappointments in the mid-2000s, Stefan Raab wanted to save the disaster by finding the artist to represent Germany at the ESC himself...poriel wrote:They'd better do national competition like other countries..
Roman is cutie, young and talented! His song is good but not sure if it can stand out in the final among other entries. I'm prepared for a bad result but i really wish him the best of luck!Tansike wrote:
I think Roman is to 'normal' and his Song is nearly to 'boring'. Don't get me wrong, the song is not bad, but i just think the song isn't good enough for a show like ESC.
In general, there is no originality in the music industry nowadays, not only Eurovision. When you mention the ESC, the last thing you think of is originality. Most songs are generic, cheesy and weak, not to mention some stupid ones.
People should bear in mind that Eurovision is not a radio competition! It is a TV show, so live performances play a major role in the final outcome. Unfortunately, the live performance of No Angels didn't help the song at all. On the contrary, "Disappear" sounded boring in the live performance and got lost among other entries which were staged in a better way. The song sounds better on radio than TV.IMO, "Disappear" was everything but generic and it got a lot of great reviews on the Internet and magazines, even here people who don't even know them keep telling me that the song is really good. As for their performance, I agree it was messy vocally but oh well.
He found Lena and Germany got its 2nd victory. That's enoughTimmy94 wrote:Stefan Raab wanted to save the disaster by finding the artist to represent Germany at the ESC himself...

I also want the old pre-selection back where 10 different acts with different sounding songs performed.
