Speaking with The Voice mentor Miranda Lambert at The Hunger Games premiere, THR asked the country singer what she thought of Spears joining the X Factor roster.

“Why not? I mean, she’s an icon,” Lambert said. “It’s a smart choice.”

“I think it’d be awesome,” added her Pistol Annies bandmate, Angaleena Presley.

Christina Aguilera $7.5 million for The Voice

Jennifer Lopez $12 million for American Idol

Britney Spears $20 million for X Factor

Didn't want to spill the true tea but you made me to Image
If you're spilling it , spill it the right way...
Chrsitina got 10 million for the Voice...
JLO's latest season was claimed to be $20 million, Britney's offer is 10 million...
anyways... what an awful show... from judges to the rumoured judges to Simon cowell
Oh gurl don't even try to go there cuz you ain't going anywhere..

Christina didn't got $10 million.. she got $7.5 million and that was huge for her since she's not a touring act since... 2006?.

Jlo got $12 million, every single media reporting about Britney on X factor reported that numbers for Jlo.

So gurl, phuuulease! take a sit.
Being a touring act has what to do with what?

And:

Every news source, look it up, these and more, confirm Christina was paid $10 million. So your tea is VERY bitter!

Jennifer's first contract was for $12 million. Her renewal to come back was for $20 million.

"Take A Bow"... Rihanna's ONLY ballad to go #1 on the Hot 100 (also topped the R&B Chart)... Great deed for her most epic ballad!!!

You said it! their first contract

Britney's first contract could go up to $20 million and if she decides to do a second season could go dramatically higher

And the touring thing well.. she's not a relevant artist anymore, that's why 'Bionic' tour got cancelled.

No, Britney balked at $10 million. We don't know what XF will pay. Either way, it still wasn't a CORRECT comparison as you didn't even use CORRECT figures.

And I'm here for Britney doing it. She's an icon and certainly deserves to reap the "benefits" of all the triumphs she's had in her career. It's just not necessary to compare her SPECULATED salary against the others real salaries to say anything.

Christina and her Bionic era have nothing to do with this. If they did, she certainly would not be making $10 million on The Voice.

I think XF should just tell Brit where to shove it for thinking she's too good for $10m.

TV is a very fickle world and just because you're great on one thing doesn't make you hot shit on everything... or else every Friends and Seinfeld cast member would still be thriving (Courteney Cox and Julia Louis-Dreyfus have done alright with their respective series', but neither of them have yet nor will ever reach the heights of those shows again).

i didn t say she wasn t but she s not anymore and she won t become the ultimate one !

I really thought she would dethrone Mariah but now... i don t think so. The ones that still have a chance are Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood & Taylor Swift, and they are way above Britney actually and it won t change anytime soon if she still does this electro pop stuff like FF, Circus.

To love her is one thing, to watch the show because of her is another. I don't think its a good idea to have her on the show. She was very silly and fresh when she started out, now she looks medicated all the time. I don't know... at this point I don't really care who they hire, i liked Paula and Nicole.

FOX asked people on the street about their opinion on Britney possibly joining the X-factor judging table:

VIDEO

Some comments are good, some not so good...

I do agree with what one of the tv-hosts said at the end: "It’s not about whether you can sing live, it’s about whether you have the X Factor."

Oh, even if she sang live, people are going to criticize her anyway, it's like she's never won the side of critics. Sadly, she's always hugely bashed but still loved by people (and secretly adored by a lot). :)

Britney is qualified. She's been in the business longer than most. She's has record numbers. She's knows the ups and downs. She understands good stage production, and even methods of performance.

People need to stop acting like everyone has to sing like Whitney or dance like Janet to judge.

Extra Extra! This Just In! :o :o

The judge handling Britney Spears' consvervatorship wanted to meet with the singer to discuss her accepting a job with Simon Cowell's X Factor, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Brit's conservators needed to get approval from the court for her to become a judge on the hit talent show. "Britney's team is almost ready to sign the contract for her to become a judge on X Factor. Before the contract is signed, the lawyers needed to get approval from Judge Reva Goetz, as all business transactions, contracts, etc., need to get formal approval," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. "Judge Goetz wanted to talk to Britney in person to make sure this is something that she wanted to do, and that she was capable of doing. The judge was extremely impressed and Britney is very, very excited to become a part of Simon Cowell's show. The judge signed off on the deal.

"Under terms of the contract, Britney will be paid around $15 million. She will travel out of state for auditions, as long as it doesn't interfere with her custodial time with her sons. The boys will be allowed to come to the set whenever Britney wants them there. Her sons are her number one priority. Jason has been heavily involved in the contract talks," the insider says.

A formal announcement about Spears joining the show will be made in the next two weeks.

Great news. Hopefully she puts out new music to go along with the gig. I could see it being as successful in the US as 3 Words and the singles were in the UK.
