"Night is young" was a big fat flop and the "Greatest Hits" album reached #20 for one week and fell like a rock. Now "Big Hoops" flops like crazy, will not be easy for her to come back, cause thats what it is after all these flops - a comeback. "The Spirit Indestructible" will not have big chances to chart high in Germany.

I actually think this did really well in the UK all things considered!

It looks set to spend a 2nd week in the top 20 as well.

#17 on itunes atm.

She needs promo!

i do believe the album will at least sell gold.. with a shot at platinum. she never flopped so far in Germany.. and well i can understand why big hoops flopped.. with zero promo and all.. but i think she might promote the album.. and sometimes it only needs 1 well placed performance and she's back.

It's a great song. Just a shame that this style doesn't really sell anymore but respect to her for risking something different. Hopefully the Album can sell decent even though it's not looking good.

She did promote the song, Billboard Awards, she travelled to the UK and performed it, now Canada... accoustic versions...

I know she performed and did some, but it didn't feeled like she was everywhere, if you get what I mean. The performances felt random. I wish she would have performed everywhere she could.
She basically popped up after a long time, I really feel she has to win over a big part of the general public again, and if you release a risky song, you have to do everything to show that you are still here to stay, I am not saying Nelly has to prove anything, but I think the song could have done better than it has done now tbh.

But the promo can be the hardest if the people don't click with it. Even Lady Gaga's last recent singles didn't do very well for what she's used to despite monster promo because the people weren't really feeling them.

Nelly Furtado should perform at Schlag den Raab. Its next episode is on September 15, one day after the announced release of The Sprit Indestructible...
