May I remind the Nicki fans that she has sold more with her poppy singles... literally, she's not even groundbreaking, she's just a failed rapper who's trying to approach the pop audiences with bubblegum singles.. That's why Stupid Ho, Roman Catholic and Massive Attack flopped... she's not a risk taker like the realness Lil Kim displayed back in the day with her raw rapping ...

Kimnotyze, In The Air Tonite, Not Tonight, The Jump Off, Lighters Up were also top twenty hits in Europe.

I kid, I kid. BUT If Kim wants to get her name back in the game she needs to come out with some of that bubble gum and release this ghetto hard knock crack dealing anthem later on. And yeah I agree, watered down hip hop is whats selling right nw she's going to have to do something with cross over appeal she's done it before with THe jump off and no mater what they say. I want a collabo with Eve and Swizz producing maybe Alicia on the hook.

All of her singles of her ACTUALLY rapping flopped which is why she has to resort to piss poor autotuned singing over bubble gum katy perry beats to sell records. Kim kept it truly hip hop and became one of the best selling female rappers of her time. I have no problem with Nicki trying to be versatile, but she isn't doing it the right way.

and Like I said, I have no problem with either of them doing pop songs. But in Nicki's case, she's been trying to be the Black Lady Gaga more so than being an actual rapper. She should take notes from Drake... Drake has a good balance of mixing r & b/pop with hip hop.

But this is the present, 2012. Not the past, 1996. Kim is also trying to get hits by making generic radio friendly music so coming down on Nicki for it is hypocritical, yes Kim has just released this urban track but so has Nicki with Beez In The Trap, but they are both aiming at both markets.
