B-Cox is still making R&B, just not with the popular ("commercial") names. "
Another B-Cox joint...", that is the seal of approval line, lol

.
I respect Usher alot and regard him highly for what he has done over his career.
BUT... for me he is slightly tainting his image.
I'm so dissapionted that he is more focused on making pop (or should I say "Rev-Pop") music than making quality music. Yes, I won't lie, I want to hear a majority R&B album, with max 2 or 3 pop songs to sell the album worldwide. But, even if he not making R&B, it should still be quality. From what I've heard so far, he's done neither.
1. This album will likley have 50:50 split musically.
2. Of the R&B songs, neither of them are or will be Usher classics imo. Even if you compare each of the 3 like for like singles from this album with RVR, RVR wins 3-0 imo:
Papers > Climax
OMG > Scream (and I don't even like OMG)
Daddy's Home > Lemme See
When you think about Usher's current situation he should have alot of meaning lyrical content in his songs. Also, looking at past songs like "Nice and Slow", "U Got It Bad", "Confessions", "Lovers & Friends", "Love In This Club" etc. these recent songs are not even close to the level of those songs. I know people will disagree with me about "Climax", but for me the chorus lets the song down, because otherwise the verses are quite good, but because of the chorus, I personally can't listen to the song.
I feel he's conforming into making what he thinks he's supposed to make (as though there is a formula) as opposed to making what he wants to make and making people listen to it.
I know alot of Usher fans might disagree with me, but I feel many are in denial about the quality of the recent music. I say all this because I am actually a fan of Usher, not just another hater, but I might be the only 1 with this view.
