I'm really fond of this album, thank you Usher for giving us such a solid record.
I love Euphoria
now, it took me some time to get into it but the more I listen to, the more I think it could be massive !
I still like I Care 4 You
, Lessons For The Lover
( my favourite ) and Hot Thing
. The best tracks on the album in my opinion.
is still nice, such a great innovative mix of R&B and a bit of electronic sound. I'm still surprised that it has stayed 11 weeks on the Urban chart. Anyway, he deserves it with this.
I got tired of Scream
. It's too repetitive and the video is incredibly boring. I just can't stand it anymore.
is very good, it's a fun and naughty track in which Usher is so casual. This kind of song suits him perfectly.
At first, I was a bit bothered by the fact it sounded a lot like Kelly Rowland's Motivation but I don't mind in the end.
must be a single, it's still fresh and utterly different from what we listen to nowadays with this cursed electro trend.
The same goes for Dive
, it's so relaxing and I don't find it to be a mere ballad. There's something... special that I can't explain. I love it.
is surprising, in a good way. The lyrics are well-written, which is scarce for this type of song with all the " la la la " " put your hands up in the air " " Mr. Worldwide, dale! " invading us.
I'm certain it could do really well if it was released.
Sins Of My Father
is really enjoyable, I love Usher's vocals on it ! Pure awesomeness. I would definitely say the same for Say The Words
The title track, 2nd Round
and What Happened To You
are nothing special in my opinion. Not really fond of them, for some strange reason. Show Me
is all right, but it's not a single material at all.
Finally, there's Can't Stop Won't Stop
which sounds horrendous to me now. It's far from the level of "OMG" or "More". A true letdown.
It may be unpopular, but I truly think it's my favourite album from Usher. It's a bit different from what he's done before, but he made almost every song in the best way he could that I just can't expect a better work.
I'd give it a 8.5 out of 10.
