My favorites are still Can't Stop, Won't Stop and Looking 4 Myself.

"Climax" falls to number 2. But "Lemme See" rises to number 3. :lol:

"Scream" still stuck at number 10 on Hot 100... Looks like it's reached its peak there unless it decides to swap spots with Nicki next week to number 9... However "Whistles" is coming in strong...

i completely change my first verdict and call this his best album to date now. So many songs charted on my chart. Euphoria is the latest which i find totally awesome

As for me, I'm still not into songs like 2nd Round, What Happened To You and Can't Stop Won't Stop. There's something bothering me with these.
Still a great album, though !

@therealestMC One of my top favourites too. It has something relaxing, both sexy and classy. It's just outstanding. 8-)

Just got the album!!!! Brilliant to say the least. He's evolving with music trends but keeps it original enough to keep his initial core urban fans happy and content 8-)

Probably my second fave Usher album...after Confessions 8-)

I agree with you both, he's definitely showed progression on this album..... but it's no way better than "8701" (IMO).

Looking 4 myself is a great album, I really can't stop listening to it! But as far as it compares to 8701 I would probably rank the latter higher because of how it spawned the classic and timeless hits u remind me, u got it bad, and u don't have to call! They never get old but the two albums are really neck and neck for me!

I guess most people rate the success of an album based in hits, singles and sales.
I base my liking on the production, lyrics and evolution of the sound of the album. 870- singles were massive and are anthems but it had way too many fillers.

Not me! "8701" has always been my favourite of his because it's so consistent. Plus it wasn't nearly as big as "Confessions" was.

"Twork It Out", "I Don't Know", "Can U Help Me", "I Can't Let U Go", "Separated" etc are wonderful album tracks... then there are the hits "Pop Ya Collar", "U Remind Me", "U Got It Bad", "U Don't Have To Call" and "U-Turn".

I'm in the minority I think and prefer "8701" to "Confessions". In my opinion, "Looking 4 Myself" is his most eclectic album and there are some strong highlights but I don't think it's his most cohesive.

8701 is my favorite album usher and not because of U got it bad or u remind me(i skip thoses song most of the time) but the album was really cohesive and he sang his ass off
I'm a rnb lover so maybe thats why but this album is a classic by so many ways

twork it out,can u help me,separated,pop my collar(it was a failed single at the time),If i want to,etc....

Looking 4 Myself is a great album,i bought it the first day and the song Looking 4 myself is my favorite of album so i really like the evolution of Usher BUT songs like Dive or Lessons for the Lovers are really boring for me because its a really flat,i'm sorry.
Climax is Grammy worthy,its a rnb but in a new way.

For example

ive is just Usher/Rico remaking there goes my baby in a more sexual way.

I like L4M but 8701 is above for me

There's definitely a "There Goes My Baby" influence in it and "Trading Places" but the song reminds me of "No Air" by Jordin Sparks the most for some reason.

RVR was unfocused and all over the place for me even tho i like a lot songs on it(venus vs mars,little freak,there goes my baby,Okay,etc...) but it was a mess.

From the leak 3month earlier to the confessions era remake(fooling around).without OMG,the album was a commercial and artistic failure.

And i still bought the album the first day it came out lol

Well i think Raymond VS. Raymond is the better album. It has some great urban songs (Especially Hey Daddy, Lil Freak & There Goes My Baby), and it is more cohesive than Looking 4 Myself to me :wink:

I wasn't a member here back then. If so I would've ripped it apart cuz I was mad disappointed by the time it was out.

I learned to love it overtime though, I love all of Usher's album but "Raymond v Raymond" was definitely his most disappointing and least evolving work from him to date. Also yes, I really liked "Here I Stand" from the get go actually.
