122. Autumn Goodbye
Code: Select all
The first song to fall. This was a bonus track from her debut "..Baby One More Time". There is something about this song, I cannot get into it. Not only is it too teeny and cheesy, the way she says the title phrase is cringe worthy... I have never liked this song and don't plan to, cute but that's all.. embarrassing to listen to if you ask me. Sorry Paul...

Image
121. Boys
Code: Select all
Just like "Autumn Goodbye", I have never liked this song. Easily one of the worst things she's done. From her "Britney" album, this is the second song to fall. I feel as if it goes nowhere... it was hard deciding which one I liked less. Definitely not on par with the rest of its parent album.

Image
120. E-Mail My Heart
Code: Select all
Not only is the title such a cheesy little thing, the song is. I am not feeling it, too cute haha! I feel like it's one of those songs that does not age well, at all. Easily one of the worst from "..Baby One More time". It's the second to fall from the same album.

Image
119. Dear Diary
Code: Select all
The first to fall from her sophomore effort "Oops!.. I Did It Again". Dear Diary, I feel, goes nowhere, and is very boring, I rarely listen to it whole. Very teenish and the intro (well that's in the previous track in the track listing) is cringe worthy..

Image
118. Big Fat Bass
Code: Select all
Sorry for the randomly different type of picture, there wasn't one for Femme Fatale like the previous ones. Anyway, this song... The first to go from her latest effort, Femme Fatale. I have never gotten into it. Not only does will.I.am. get in my nerves but it's way too repetitive. The instrumental itself is nice, but just nothing special as a whole song. My least favourite from Femme Fatale. The headache is getting bigga.. I just don't like it haha!

This was the first batch, hope you liked it and no ones favourites are gone yet.

:o I REALLY love the format, especially the fact that you chose the superior UK cover art for ...BOMT, but...

"Autumn Goodbye" = seriously? you consider it the absolute WORST track in her ENTIRE discography? worse than "Dear Diary"?? I knew you didn't love it as much as I did, but this seems really unduly harsh. #clearlyspitingmeoutofjealousy

"Boys" = now this BELONGS this low. this turd doesn't deserve to be an album track (it could've easily been replaced by "Intimidated" or something), let alone a single. I remember being GUTTED that this got chosen as the 4th US single over gems like "Cinderella". it deserved to flop as massively as it did.

"E-Mail My Heart" = the title of this one alone, #dismissed. but as for the song itself, it's easily one of (if not THE) worst on her debut.

"Dear Diary" = how did this out-rank ANYTHING?

"Big Fat Bass" = this one might be a bit too low, but it's one of my least favorites on FF too.

so apart from your absolutely insane ranking for "Autumn Goodbye", we're on the same wavelength so far! great start. :D

Boys was good at the time, but I can't bare to listen to it now.
Big Fat Bass is one of the highlights on FF, I still play it regulary! :D

I just do not like it.. oh wait, yes clearly it's jealousy ;)LOL!

This "turd" definitely is NOT ntype of material, not album nor single material! Ugh, I resent this song so much! >:( , glad you agreee

"E-Mail My Heart" = the title of this one alone, #dismissed. but as for the song itself, it's easily one of (if not THE) worst on her debut.

I know right? LOL I mean c'mon, what kinda title is that!? and no, AG is the worst LOL

"Dear Diary" = how did this out-rank ANYTHING?

Because, it did Paul...

"Big Fat Bass" = this one might be a bit too low, but it's one of my least favorites on FF too.

I beg to differ, it should not even be in any Britney CD!

so apart from your absolutely insane ranking for "Autumn Goodbye", we're on the same wavelength so far! great start. :D
Well I am glad we agree on most so far :D I apologize for Autumn Goodbye XD

"Autumn Goodbye" is certainly one of the weakest tracks in Britney's discography, but it's not the weakest.

"Boys" isn't great but #121 is a bit harsh. The chorus is nice.

"E-mail My Heart" is deservedly low. Early Britney did have some phenomenal cheesy Pop songs but this is not one of them.

"Dear Diary" is one of the more monotonous tracks Brit's recorded. Another track deserving of its ranking.

"Big Fat Bass" is too low. Sure, it's not the best track on Femme Fatale, not by a long shot. However, it's much better than most of the tracks on her first two records.

No absolutely fatal rankings in this batch, though.

I do think so IMO 8-)

"Boys" isn't great but #121 is a bit harsh. The chorus is nice.

There is nothing nice about "Boys" IMO

"E-mail My Heart" is deservedly low. Early Britney did have some phenomenal cheesy Pop songs but this is not one of them.

Certainly, glad we agree

"Dear Diary" is one of the more monotonous tracks Brit's recorded. Another track deserving of its ranking.

Yeah I think it's just dreaful

"Big Fat Bass" is too low. Sure, it's not the best track on Femme Fatale, not by a long shot. However, it's much better than most of the tracks on her first two records.

Well I think so (obviously) LOL... there is nothing special about this song..

No absolutely fatal rankings in this batch, though.

Wow amazing presentation Horacio! :o :D

Autumn Goodbye: is a sweet, cheesy pop song but that's it. It's nothing special and FAR from her best.

Boys: is actually a guilty pleasure of mine. You either love the song or hate it. Among Britney fans there's been lots of discussions about this particular song. I love it and the video is amazing! :D

E-mail My Heart: is kinda same story as Autumn Goodbye. Though I feel Autumn Goodbye is a tad better than this!

Dead Diary: is awful! As a kid I thought it was quite okay but I can't listen to it anymore. One of her worst songs!

Big Fat Bass: uhm... yeah... are you sure we're talking about the same song? Because the Big Fat Bass I know is such an ANTHEM!! Crime it was never released as a single. Yeah it's generic but it's hot as hell and I can already imagine a hot dance video for it! 8-)

So far so good! Only songs I would've liked to place higher are Boys and (especially) Big Fat Bass...

Can't wait to see some more results! :D

The video is kinda cool but I doubt anything will me me even remotely like this track LOL

E-mail My Heart: is kinda same story as Autumn Goodbye. Though I feel Autumn Goodbye is a tad better than this!

Wow everyone thinks Autumn Goodbye is lower than it should be.. oh well haha

Dead Diary: is awful! As a kid I thought it was quite okay but I can't listen to it anymore. One of her worst songs!

Yes it is! (just like all these songs in this batch IMO LOL)

Big Fat Bass: uhm... yeah... are you sure we're talking about the same song? Because the Big Fat Bass I know is such an ANTHEM!! Crime it was never released as a single. Yeah it's generic but it's hot as hell and I can already imagine a hot dance video for it! 8-)

117. Girl In The Mirror
Code: Select all
The second song to fall from "Oops.." is Girl In The Mirror. I like the lyrics but as a whole song, like many of her earlier tracks, it's just cheesy and kind of boring.

Image
116. Sometimes
Code: Select all
Well what can I say. This is probably the cheesiest she's been when it comes to singles. I cannot get past that, so immature in my opinion. It's very sweet, almost too sweet, but I really love the video.I think there were better songs as a follow up to "...Baby One More Time". So far the second single to fall, after Boys.

Image
115. I'm So Curious
Code: Select all
The B-Side to Sometimes (haha they are right next to each other!) and 4th to go from her debut. It's just as cheesy and I cannot get myself to like it.

Image
114. Trip To Your Heart
Code: Select all
From her newest effort, Femme Fatale, is Trip which is the second to fall from her latest album. I have never got into this song. The unorganized sythns do not click with me at all (and yes I do love unconventional music so it's not that), I feel like it's just so dull, like a lessor Heaven on Earth (the bridge). I just do not like it a whole bunch.

Image
113. Where Are You Now
Code: Select all
Another dull ballad from her sophomore album falls. I just think the message of the whole song is something to think about but not to sing about. I think it's really cheesy singing to a person about asking them where they are, no matter what type of song haha. This is really the last song I dislike from her. From now on there will be songs I kinda like at least haha :D

"Girl In The Mirror" = not a massive fan of this, I actually think there's quite a few duds on Oops!, so I'm totally on-board with this ranking.

"Sometimes" = aw, so far there's been one song in each group where you stab me in the heart, Horacito! it's hard to deny this is cheesy, but I think it's one of her best early cheesy tracks. it's just such a lovely mid-tempo, I think it's at least...Top 20-worthy! even in terms of ...BOMT singles, it's certainly better than "From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart". fortunately, most people agree that it's too low (just like most people thought "Autumn Goodbye" was too low too...) ;)

"I'm So Curious" = yeah, this one's pretty bad. it belonged as a B-Side.

"Trip To Your Heart" = I definitely agree about this being a lesser version of "Heaven On Earth", but I'd still rank it higher than this. there's more FF turds that should've fallen before this (at least "Don't Keep Me Waiting", certainly...)

"Where Are You Now" = Oops! is weighed down by several very dull ballads, and this is one of them. I'm glad to see it fall early.

"Girl In The Mirror" is pretty weak so I guess it's deserving of the low ranking.

"Sometimes" is far too low! It's Britney at her most innocent and though it's not quite my fave from early Britney, I'd have ranked it about sixty-six (66) slots higher. Kenneth will cut you once he sees this.

"I'm So Curious" is another one of those forgettable early Britney tracks. I'm not overly fussed with the ranking.

"Trip To Your Heart" is a bit low, and considering how high I think you're gonna rank "How I Roll", this ranking is a bit unfair, in my opinion.

"Where Are You Now" is also forgettable, so it's also deserving of a sub-100 ranking.

I'm not super fan of Britney, so I don't know all of her songs, but Boys and Sometimes are too low! They're some songs I've ever heard, and they're good
They should make, at least your top 100 imo
 It's up to you, it's your chart
But I have to agree Big Fat Bass is worst track in Femme Fatale

BTW, I voted for I'm A Slave for you
But I think TTWE should replace Inside Out on that poll

Glad you agree 8-) and yes they are nice, mostly cause it's Britney singing them!

112. I'll Never Stop Living You
Code: Select all
Even though not one of the strongest from BOMT, it is tolerable, and I in fact like it! I love the chorus but overall nothing really special IMO.

Image
111. Lucky
Code: Select all
Yet another single falls. I really used to hate this song but since has grown on me just a bit but I still think it's a joke sometimes. What was she thinking when she recorded this. Very, very mediocre and not single worthy IMO, but I love the melody of the chorus.

Image
110. Heart
Code: Select all
Another cheesy ballad, nothing too special but certainly better than some others below IMO. This was a bonus track from "Oops!.. I Did It Again!"

Image
109. Blur
Code: Select all
Shocked? Well I think this is the worst from Circus, I like it but it's just nothing that makes me want to listen to it more than a few times. This is the first Circus track to go, and between us, the only one in a long time, well sorta ;). I tend to skip this, totally not album track material considering all those gems she has not released.

Image
108. My Only Wish (This Year)
Code: Select all
A rather enjoyable track, My Only Wish falls short of the top1 00. I like it but it's just a Christmas song and far from anything she's done so it falls here, but it is better than most cheesy things she's done!

The one and only Princess of Pop, Britney Spears...

Code: Select all
After we reach the top 100 I will put the title of this thread to action. This is not just a countdown, no, this is a tribute. A tribute to one loved by many, the epic Britney Spears. I will post epic little Britney things every now and then like reasons why I love her, or quotes, or stories, and will also countdown not just songs but albums, album covers, remixes, music videos, and anything you guys would like me to do, you can just ask me here :D (such as favourite outfit etc...). I want this to be a Britney devotion place! I love her to death and want to show it :D So are you ready? The official tribute will start very soon.
