Green Day are releasing a trilogy titled ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!

release dates: September 25th 2012, November 13th 2012 and January 15th 2013

Their last 2 albums have been epic. American Idiot is actually one of my favourite albums of all time.

I'm excited but I want three great albums not three lackluster albums that could have been one great album if you minus all the filler.

I'm very keen to know if all 3 albums are going to explore similar themes/sounds or if they will all be completely different.

How amazing would it be if Uno is like their 90s stuff, Dos like AI and 21stCB and Tre something completely different?

I don't understand why they named the third one TRE, as in, missing an S at the end, if they're going for spanish (uno, dos, tres), maybe there's a point to it, or a story behind it?
or is it maybe the way some spanish speakers miss the ending S when they speak? (like some spanish people from andalucia and some latinamerican countries)?

I think each album is gonna be a represenation of each member of the band

This will be either really epic or a major let down knowing Green Day....EPIC!!

I'm really excited. The whole concept is still a mystery to me. Whether it is the way that rihmonster said and every album is like a solo album of one member, or it is really three full albums as a band.

Another thing is the track number. Will we get around 36 new tracks? I don't think so as this would be crazy. Will it be a rock opera again like the last two albums, with the three albums being the three acts? I am sooo curious and so excited.

Me too. I like that it has been kept secret so far and they haven't given anything away.

From the look of the album covers, I'm guessing the material won't be as political and serious as the last 2 albums. I'd love for them to keep the rock opera sound but attach it to more personal lyrics.
