I really can't think of a bigger flop tbh :o
What about Melanie B peaking outside top500 with her second smash album?
But her first album didn't sell 800k+

Sorry, but disagree with all of this. She will never make it in the states. Saying that if she were to try, now woould be the right time. British acts are doing great. 1d, The wanted and now Cher Lloyd and Ellie goulding are in the top 20 iTunes chart. But I can assure you that 'let it go' would not work over there.

She really is unlikeable which is a shame as the album is not that bad at all.

She sadly will never make it anywhere now full stop.

people said "Glad You came" was to european sounding to work in the states but it smashed.

Im sure "Let it GO" could do the same but with a new music video.

How can you assure that "Let it Go" wont smash huh? And she'll never make it anywhere?

With the right team, promo & label and stronger songs anything is possbile.

Im sure she had better songs which didnt make the album so maybe she can use those songs for her us debut album.

I actually think "Elephant" stands a much bigger chance than "Let It Go" of making any impact in the US.

I read that she's releasing another single from the album but it'll be a new mix... maybe a good feature?!

She needs to go away for a year to the US, drop her surname, tone up and come back as Alex with a soulful/RnB infused album highlighting her vioce then she has a chance of resurrection from this grim hole she has found herself in.

There is no point flogging a dead horse with these generic dance beats.

Yes, her surname is the main reason for this flop!

Lol no of course its not the main reason for her flop but the point is she needs to completely reinvent herself as an artist and this will help. Besides berk is another word for idiot. The vibe is all wrong. Best to drop it altogether if she is to recapture the cool factor which she has lost.

1. Bionic hadn't had the "lowest sales ever for a #1", even at that time there were albums at No. 1 selling less.
2. No. 1 alone isn't an achievement anymore, especially when it drops heavily from the 2nd week on, nowadas it's the chart performance as a whole that matters.
3. Christina Aguilera came from a Platinum album (300k) to Bionic (60k). So Bionic sold a 5th of what Back To Basics did. Her "standard" is ~ 500k (Christina Aguilera got Gold, Stripped got 5x Platinum), Bionic is ~ 1/8 of that. Alexandra Burke came from a 800k-album to HOH which sold ~ 20k copies so far (up to now 1/40 of Overcome).

I wonder if theres a possibility that alex might might have signed with Richard branson record label "Virgin" hmmm 8-)

Richard branson is a very powerfull man in showbiz so that could be really good for her.

I'm really saddened she's performing in a cheap scally hell hole club 'Ruby Sky' in our city centre for £5 admission.....
