^ I guess not. Still, I have strong doubts this will ever go Platinum.

Also, it's hard to look at overall UK top ten sales. There have been way too many weeks with the number ten album not even selling 10k for my tastes :-?

Terrible sales recently. Its almost as though the UK is losing its bouyancy and realigning with the weak US market. Not a welcome development.

I see no evidence we are listening to less music than before its just how people are getting hold of it and some artists are more vulnerable than others.

It will just lead to further congestion in the 4th quarter because thats the only way a lot of artists can have any confidence they will go double platinum atm. You can't wrap up an illegal download to give as a present.

Cheryl will be hoping she has strong enough singles to keep the album alive until then. We'll see.....

^ Agreed! First Pixie Lott, then Alexandra Burke, now Cheryl... The UK does NOT like their female artists. Despite all of them having (fairly to extremely) successful first singles!

I shudder to think what will happen to Ellie Goulding or Jessie J on their next era.
