OK, this gotta be fake :o

it's real. just watch the whole video.
Mariah mic feed:

8-)

This is so not the mic feed. This was the dubbed vocals to make it sound live! It's obviously done in the studio.

If you listen to The Adventures of Mimi Tour in Anaheim recorded mp3s in MariahDaily, how she did the vocal runs in "My All" is somewhat different from the vocals on the DVD. It's because she dubbed over most of the vocals and layered it over the applause to make it sound like she did it 100% live. This video showing the audio of "It's Like That" is also part of the dubbing sessions.

A lot of female artists know that technique, or they either record the song using a live microphone (pre-record it before the actual performance) and use it as the 'live' vocals to make it sound like they sing so good while moving, jumping and dancing when parts of it (or maybe even the whole song) is not performed live at all.
errr.... That mic feed sounds more like it is from Save The Music performance, and i'm pretty sure it was live. The uploader put the wrong title.

Here's the performance:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z0V7NzT ... ata_player

Also, Mariah mostly used PAST performance that she actually hit the note LIVE to dubbed performances later on or she would use pure studio vocals. She's never actually recorded a special live version just to dubb lmao.

Mariah voice is flaw free with instruments or not.

For reference, Gaga's mic feed:

Funny as hell! With no beat she sounds like a crazy b!tch.

However, she's not off key at all, unlike The Princess of Pop in the Born To Make You Happy video.

Exactly, she is precisely on key even though a tad dry and out of breath.

Nah, she's far superior and listenable in the studio.

For real: you don't have to prove anything, Paulina. If she delivers great concerts, music videos, creative albums, what's the problem in being just an average live singer? She's already a pop icon, people like it or not.

Demi can sing. I think she's one of the best Disney singers, but she doesn't have enough experience to teach others how to do it and improve it. She has been on the industry for like 4 years? I don't think she has a lot to share.
Britney... I refuse. I know she's a living legend, but I don't think she can help others to develop their skills. I mean, she can't even help herself. Just look at her performances since Blackout era, they're pretty basic and sometimes they're lower than the standard. To top it off, she has never been known as a SINGER. I think someone that lip-synced his/her entire career doesn't have credibility to judge other singers. Honestly, if Britney were one of the contestants I don't think she would pass on the audition.
Anyway, I couldn't care less about this. This kind of show is far from searching a new singing idol.

Brit hasn't even watched a single live audition yet and everyone's already talking about the show like they just watched the whole series. The only way we'll truly know whether she is capable of judging is by tuning in when the show is aired later this year. I bet EVERYONE, whether they be a fan, hater or indifferent, will be glued to their TV/internet stream when it does air.

Also, the debate about whether she deserves to judge is already getting old. The show is called 'The X-Factor' and NOT 'The Best Voice in the USA' or 'Soprano Search' or 'America's Next Top Vocalist'. When will people like John realise this show isn't just about the voice. It's the whole package. I think Britney is MORE than qualified to judge whether people have 'that special something' because she is the embodiement of star quality and 'the x-factor'.

You just said it all. I couldn't have written better. The bold part is so true. Britney's not a great singer by any means, but she embodies perfectly the definition of X-Factor.

Yes, Beyonce would be a way better choice because she's more of a star with the complete package, while I see Britney Spears more as a performer...
