Extraterrestrial life (from the Latin words: extra ["beyond", or "not of"] and? terrestris ["of or belonging to Earth"]) is defined as life that does not originate from Earth.
Do you believe in that????
I do... there is NO WAY that we're alone in this universe!!! There's some other sources of lives we can't find just yet... why only a little planet called earth with life...? :-?
What do you think???

I think there is as well. :D If there isn't the life on the Earth is really a very sacred and truly special thing.

I say yes! The universe is infinite, there's no way our planet is the only one with life on it. Even if just plants, there must be other living creatures out there.
But questions like this make me depressed, if I think of Earth as an insignificant little point among an infinite number of planets and stars, I suddenly feel alone.

Thinking of how vast the universe may be is one of the most trippy thoughts you could ever have. :o 8-) I love space, it's a beautiful mystery, I also wonder how old the universe is!

Someone once told me that they had read that our own universe (yes the whole universe) is just part of a much bigger expanse. :o It's a mind blowing subject for sure! 8-)

Absolutely!

I think it's an impossibility that we're alone.

I'd love to be an astronomer but you need to be mighty qualified and smart = not me. :(

Just to think our own galaxy is mind boggling huge but then you realise there are endless more galaxies. :o :o It is just too much for human brains to comprehend, how tremendously fantastic is that! This topic is so exciting to me.

But the universe is NOT infinite! It all started with the Big Bang, so it therefore is expanding. And therefore is restricted in size. However even if you limit the number of habitable planets there still is a massive number even in a restricted universe.

Of course if it was an infinite universe the population of the universe would be zero. Because we know certain planets don't have any life on them at all. So any planets with life on them would be a finite number. And if you divide any finite number by infinite the answer would be zero! Or as near to it as you could get!
In which case you can't be alone as there's is no you in the first place :o

The question therefore should be is there life on Earth?
We must conclude only if the universe isn't infinite to be the answer.

Are you god? How do you know this? :o

Also if it is not infinite, what lies at the edge/ends of the universe, quite spooky but amazing thought. 8-)

The christian God is the Sun, they of course don't know that, but it is!
It all came about with the Egyptians who believed that a certain other God eat the Sun at night and passed him out via his backside at Sun rise! Which if anything goes to prove that that race didn't come from space!
One of them came up with the idea of one true God, but others hated him for doing away with the multitude of gods they had. So when he got the chop, they went back to them, banned the one true god story. But you can't keep a good thing down, so slaves and some others kept the idea going. However many years later they only knew the idea of "one true god" plus he shines his light on everyone. Many 1000 years later the old city of the one true god was found, to reveal it was the Sun who they worshiped. By which time the "one true god" had developed into the christian religion.

While I am prepaired to believe there could well be life on other planets, I don't believe for moment that they have come here in the past or present.
If any of the unexplained things connected with UFO are true stories, then they are probably to do with humans from Earth, perhaps from the future. This would explain why they avoid full contact. For example the funny looking alien (from the above pictures) could well be what humans might look like in the future. And if you look where these craft turn up, it's in places of historical interest, or along coast lines, plus buzz aircraft!
Precisly the places and things that would interest future people.

I don't know what's more frightening to be honest, the fact that we're alone, or the fact that there's something else out there. I'm rather open minded, but I anticipate the alien life out there will be something shitty like bacteria

I read somewhere that the Universe is not really a Universe more like a Multiverse, and somewhere out there are EXACT...I mean EXACT copies of you and me and everything. LOL It's crazy!

There are plenty of very objective things that will keep you wondering. Things that were impossibly built without the help of technology and stuff like that. I creep at the end of every episode
