The album is released in Japan this week, together with Believe and Overexposed. It's currently #4 on Japanese iTunes, below two versions of Maroon 5 and Usher.

Funnily enough, Maroon 5 and Linkin Park also squared off against each other in Japan in 2010. A Thousand Suns opened with 51k approximately, whilst Hands All Over did 29k.

Oh well.. Itunes doesn't matter there as you know^^. But don't know how good Linkin Park will do in Japan.

I hope thats good. Don't know, if they can match A Thousand Suns sales, but looks not too shaby.

Generally, Western artists get lots (percentage-wise) of extra sales added on in the weekly tally not present when adding up all the daily sales, so that might help them.

Even so, I agree. I'm guessing 35~40k?

Living Things is likely to stay at No. 1 for 2 weeks in Germany. In the third week, Cro's Raop is a contender for No. 1 - Living Things could fall to No. 2... In the 4th, the 5th and the 6th week, there's no new release with huge potential - Living Thins could spend another 3 weeks at No. 1 (depending on how high Raop is going to debut with).

I could see Die Toten Hosen as a competition for the later weeks but no new release as a threat apart from Raop...

The album is just fantastic! Good-old LP is officialy back!
I don't want this album to flop(especially in US and UK). Hope it will be able to sell 3mln copies at least.
Is it going to debut @ #1 in Germany?

PS: This album should have been released between Meteora and MTM imo

It's poised to debut at number 1 here ;). It's been at number 2 on Amazon on preorders alone for weeks till it climbed to number 1 for a full week. Now it's obviously since it's release also at number 1. It's been constantly inside the top 10 on Itunes for weeks now too. And it's at number 1 since Friday. :D

Yup. Amazing album. I loove it.

I thought that the album will debut at No. 1 in Germany was so obvious that I didn't even point it out... I mean every studio album since Hybrid Theory reached No. 1 (Meteora and A Thousand Suns for 2 weeks, Minutes To Midnight for 4 weeks), plus this week, there's no high potential debut and the week before, there's been just Amy MacDonald.
It's like wondering whether Taylor Swift's next album would debut at No. 1 in the US  .

The only question is for how long Linkin Park could stay at No. 1 and looking at the release schedule, it could stay there for up to 5 weeks...

I think in the US, Maroon 5 could make it because their popularity has been increasing steadily since Moves Like Jagger while Linkin Park's one has been decreasing steadily since... actually some time now!

Yes, it will be a tough battle for that #1, but LT is a better album than M5's(and I really love them), so that why I'm still hoping for a #1 debut
