The song's doing surprisingly well in the US!
But that's not because of the nationality but because of the music... We Run The Night doesn't sound Australian, in fact it could've been sung by almost every US/UK house musician and you wouldn't have noticed a difference. Not to forget that Pitbull of course never hurts to get you a step closer to the higher part of the chartJimJim wrote:#38 (so far) for a debut single from an Australian artist in the US is pretty great IMO. Hardly any Australian acts make the US top 40.
Huh?! Of course nationality is relevant, it limits your resources, budget etc. to try and make it in larger territories like the US and UK. Heaps of acts which are huge in Australia (see: Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian) have failed to register a blip of the radar in the US, let alone make the Hot 100, let alone make the top 40 on the Hot 100!Timmy94 wrote:But that's not because of the nationality but because of the music...JimJim wrote:#38 (so far) for a debut single from an Australian artist in the US is pretty great IMO.
