You can find the top 50 here http://musique.premiere.fr/TOP-50/Top-5 ... illet-2012barthezz wrote:From where you know the new french chart?
I would like to know at least the top 50.
Yes, I knew this site, but yesterday evening at 7:34 pmgarycharts wrote:You can find the top 50 here http://musique.premiere.fr/TOP-50/Top-5 ... illet-2012barthezz wrote:From where you know the new french chart?

It is updated now.....but with a chart that doesn't look remotely correct, compared with last week's:barthezz wrote:http://musique.premiere.fr/TOP-50/Top-50-semaine-du-16-juillet-2012
Yes, I knew this site, but yesterday evening at 7:34 pm the chart wasn't updated

Why not ? I think I will do it tomorrow. And if there are enough readers, I could do it every week.Timmy94 wrote:@garycharts: Could you also do the same for albums? Because that's the one that actually interests me more...
It doesn't work like that. The lower down the chart you look, the more consistent the sales become. A little bit more than a month ago when Shy'm heavily discounted all of her past singles and they suddenly reentered the official Top 200, we got their sales and they were as follows in that particular week:earache wrote:...but i also think about something... how come the franch charts can have 200 positions??? specially when as you wrote no30 sold 2000. ? how many copies sold then no 199? ... 2 or 3? it must be something like this... i also remember when some mylene farmer no 1 sold 5 000 ...it means that no 200 must be sold 1? so if i buy gala new single 10 times she could be top 150...probably... very bizzare
I'll definitely be very interested too!!! Singles chart has mainly crap music while in the albums one you can find a lot of interesting alternative music records.garycharts wrote:Why not ? Yes, it does. They've been included since February 2011.Robbie wrote:Apologies if this has been asked before- does the French charts include downloads? The sales for the number 1 are very low if downloads are included.
This is indeed correct.....maroon wrote:Yes, it does. They've been included since February 2011.Robbie wrote:Apologies if this has been asked before- does the French charts include downloads? The sales for the number 1 are very low if downloads are included.
.....as is, I think, everything here except the line I have highlighted. Apart from the occasional act (eg Mylene Farmer) who can still shift a lot of physical singles, I get the very definite impression now that very few physicals now sell in France, for the following reasons:Timmy94 wrote:At the time Mylene Farmer was No. 1 with such low sales, the French Single Chart only included 100 positions, though the chart was only physical-based which had the effect that when physical sales started to get worse (in France physical single sales are still higher in terms of population than in other countries), the No. 100 single was sold 30 or less times.
When downloads were included, the chart was extended to 200 positions as the No. 100 single sells a few hundred copies now.
