Dirty Pretty Things is the new band from Carl Barât (ex-Libertines) The other members are Didz Hammond (bass/backing vocals, ex-Cooper Temple Clause), Gary Powell (drums , ex-Libertines) and Anthony Rossomando (guitar/backing vocals ,ex-Libertines).

Barât's Dirty Pretty Things began recording their first album in Los Angeles, California, with Dave Sardy. The album is expected to be released sometime in April of 2006 with the band's first single coming out in February, according to manager Alan McGee.

Dirty Pretty Things publically released a demo version of the song "Bang Bang, You're Dead" on their website in December 2005 with an accompanying video directed and edited by Giorgio Testi. The band's first official musical effort has already drawn comparisons to the early Libertines sound, blending punk and reggae influences. It's like The Libertines with all of the good lyrics and great tunes sucked out, and the one who couldn't sing... singing.
This post is highly unlikely to be serious. Please treat it accordingly. Unless it's music-related, in which case I'm damn well right.

I haven't replied yet because I wasn't sure what to make of it at first - but now I think it is absolute quality.

Not the stongest thing lyrically ever, but catchy and the guitars sound straight off a Libertines record which is always good.
