Released: 11th September 2006.
One of this year's most interesting acts return with another corker from their stunning Mercury-nominated debut "Through The Windowpane". Rather jazzy and rhythmic in style (hence the trumpet/saxophone solos), it's somewhat different than your usual slice of pop music. OK, so it may not turn out to be a huge success, and the band themselves aren't the trendiest out there, but it's still a refreshing change from all the boring Coldplay/Arctic Monkeys-mimicking groups that are ruling the music scene right now.
Fresh from their Mercury Prize nomination, the part Scottish part Brazilian four-piece who make wacky look cool return with a re-issue of their first single. Although not quite as instant as "Made Up Lovesong #43", it's still a favourite of mine and should hopefully make them a prominent favourite of many a music fan for years to come.
