For somebody who knows nothing about Juliette Lewis and her past, apart from the fact she is/was an actress, the fact that the lead single from this album, "Hot Kiss", was so good came as no surprise to me. Farmiliar with only one of their previous singles, it wasn't a rush out and buy the album job, however I'm glad I did.

Holding no pretenses to the current scene around them, "Four On The Floor" is as it stands - a no barriers rock record, with Juliette taking us through ten songs with her gravelly feminine voice.

Highlights along the way are the fast-paced drama of "Killer", the more gently sensitive "Death Of A Whore" and the album's epic climax "Inside The Cage."

By no means a perfect album, however it's a nice enough way of introducing you to a band who demand further investigation.
