Scooch - Flying The Flag (For You)There can be few acts quite as befitting the role of entering the Eurovision Song Contest as Scooch. The pop quartet from the turn of the millennium always were a wannabe Steps, and "Flying The Flag (For You)" is a perfect example of their music. With air steward/hostess outfits and "Carry On" style lyrics like "would you like something to suck on landing, Sir?" and "some salted nuts, Sir?", this is the sort of daft song that would have won Eurovision with style 20 years ago. Sadly, Eurovision has moved on - even if Scooch haven't - and we're going to struggle with this one.

For this year's Eurovision, the British public have chosen Steps wannabe band Scooch to represent us. Their song "Flying The Flag (For You)" is pure cheesy pop, and it's hideous too. The UK will fail yet again at Eurovision with this camp, cheesy and dreadful excuse of a song. It's tacky in every way, but surprisingly catchy.
