Britney Spears - BlackoutIt's been four years, a failed marriage and numerous mental breakdowns since Britney Spears’s last album “In The Zone”, but despite her personal life being a mess her latest album is anything but.

The album kicks off with the amazing comeback club banger “Gimme More” and stays pretty much consistent throughout. The magical “Piece Of Me” is a stunning, sarcastic insult to the media with its robotic electro feel and fantastic effects.

And the hits don't stop there… Danja certainly did Britney proud with this album. “Get Naked (I Got A Plan)” is a stunning futuristic instant future club hit and “Toy Soldier” sounds like something which would be No. 1 20 years from now. “Cold As Fire” is a really great pop song as is possible future hit single “Radar”. In fact almost the entire album is full of potential singles.

However the album has its weak moments too.

It’s noticeable that her voice has got progressively worse over her career and much of this album sees Britney with a very layered robotic voice with many backing singers. Also, the quality really goes downhill on the last three tracks. “Why Should I Be Sad” is a rather poor ending for the album and “Perfect Lover” is more like a rejected Mariah Carey b-side.

Overall, however, this is one of the best albums of 2007. Britney may have a hell-hole for her personal life, but this album proves she can still make mind-blowingly good music.
