The Kooks
|
Released: 31st March 2008.
Having played a major role in the soundtrack of 2006, The Kooks are back with a new single from their much anticipated second album "Konk". In all honesty, not a lot has changed - a definite grower, "Always Where I Need To Be" is indie-pop full of energy, with frontman Luke Pritchard's vocals helping the band stand out. The "doo-doo-doos" of the chorus might seem a little clichéd, but it certainly increases the singalong factor. This could easily have been a track on "Inside In/Inside Out", and despite the recent departure of their bassist, things are looking good for their return.
