Madonna & Justin
|
Released: 21st April 2008.
The Queen Of Pop returns, having apparently turned herself into an R&B diva. "4 Minutes" sees her enlist the help of both the Trouser Snake and super-producer Timbaland for this slice of dirty pop. With a fat bassline and echoey beats, this is a superb floor filler. However, I can't help but feel that Timbaland's style is somewhat drying out, and Madonna could've done something a bit more groundbreaking. She is, after all, a master at re-invention.
(hype)
Madonna is unbelievable. After huge success with her "Confessions On A Dance Floor" album, she doesn't want to lose her crown, so has teamed up with the most successful producer of the moment, Timbaland. Sadly, he hasn't even tried to change his style, and the result is just below average. The formula which gave Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake their first No. 1 singles won't work here - this is one of Madonna's worst singles, simply because it's all been done before. Shame on you Madge, you can do better.
