Sam Sparro

Released: 28th July 2008.
So Sam Sparro is back this week, with the second single from his eponymous debut album that proves to be a vast improvement on "Black And Gold". Outrageously catchy, wonderfully inventive, but without sounding too clichéd, this is, in short, the kind of song Calvin Harris should have released as a follow up to "Acceptable In The 80s". Backed with his fantastic take on "American Boy" from the Radio 1 Live Lounge, another hit is likely for the Bondi boy done good.
Following the ground breaking "Black And Gold", the latest single to be taken from Sam Sparro's debut album is pure funk in the form of "21st Century Life". Usually I'd probably be saying this is a brilliant pop effort, with rich vocals and ingenious production. However, in the footsteps of his previous release, I still can't help but feel this track doesn't quite recapture the magic this time around.
