Eric Prydz

Released: 1st September 2008.
Always ready to pull out a surprise hit, Eric Prydz is back with another smash, "Pjanoo". This tinkling, piano-lead track has been doing the rounds for some time now, but while we were all waiting for vocals to be added for it to get a commercial release, the track has done what Mason's "Exceeder" couldn't and managed to stay untouched, making it a rare successful instrumental. Despite this, there are a couple of decent versions out there to sing along to, the best of which is by The Scarlettes, but it's the simplicity of the original that has already made this reach No. 2 in the UK.
"Pjanoo" has the right mix of house essentials to be considered up there with the progressive house classics. In fact, you only need to hear the first few seconds to realise Eric Prydz is onto a winner. He goes on to slam dunk a sure stunner by easily erasing the memory of other similar tracks. Time stops for a moment of genius and this time, it definitely has with "Pjanoo".
