I think a tagline like "the most interesting and eagerly anticipated singer to come out of X Factor" would sound like an overstatement, but for Diana Vickers, it's true! So, has "Once" managed to live up to expectations?

Well, Diana was known for her quirky voice, and her fantastic Björk-like qualities of quirkiness. Sadly this song doesn't have any of that quirkiness, instead going down a rather pedestrian La Roux/Little Boots style of electropop. Shame, as she promised more than this.
