The Good Natured
|
Released: 10th March 2013.
The Good Natured are a synthpop trio consisting of Sarah McIntosh on vocals, backed by her brother Hamish and George Hinton. They've been releasing EP's and single since 2008. Now with a debut album finally coming, they bring this new single.
Previously, TGN ploughed a line of sound similar to La Roux or Little Boots. With this latest, there's a distinct dance element added. The drum and bass type groove rides a rhythm and synth line reminiscent of Orbital, with Sarah's soaring chorus the sole remaining link to the past. The lyric relates to the scientific name for seratonin, a neorotransmitter within our bodies that is said to cause feelings of happiness. The video for the song perfectly demonstrates this! This ought to be a huge hit but radio and TV seem allergic to the band, bizarrely. If you love female/ synthpop, don't ignore it!
