"So Rotton"

Released: 14th October 2002.

Blak Twang represents the cutting edge of the UK hip-hop scene, and this is by far his most accessible single to date. Essentially a reggae song, it is incredibly simple, with the basic lyric "Why is it so rotten, my people have you forgotten" being used to great effect. Support from Radio 1 has been good, but nowhere near enough for major success. I guess this will just about scrape the Top 40, but it deserves to beat Las Ketchup to No. 1!

This really is an amazing song. If you liked the reggae sound of No Doubt's "Underneath It All" then you will almost certainly love this track. It's so unusual, yet also so cool. There's not much more I can say about this single, but if you like it, please buy it and help make it a Top 10 hit!
