Now this is better. From their tedious "Rock Star" single to "Lapdance", a song where the bite matches the bark, and then some. The hip-hop guitar riff draws you in, while the chorus is an absolute knockout, with the guitar switching from laid-back hip-hop to full on crunch. As for the politicians lapdancing metaphor? Brilliant. By refusing to pin its flag to the hip-hop or rock mast, this should also appeal to fans of both genres. Make no mistake, this is a work of genius and more than makes up for "Rock Star".
N*E*R*D have produced tracks for Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, to name just two. So far they've done more collaborations, and featured on other people's tracks, than their own. Unfortunately, this is nothing special. The vocals are dull, the beat sounds identical to many other tracks they've produced, and it seems to go all over the place.
