Released: 19th May 2003.

I first heard this in June last year and it blew the monstrosity that was "Just Enough Education To Perform" out of the water then. Now, nearly a year later, "Madame Helga" is still a cracking tune with superb riffs, thumping drums and excellent Kelly Jones vocals. The critics won't like it, but the people will, and there's nothing "Mr Writer" or their clever quips can do about it.

"Madame Helga", from the Stereophonics' new album "You Gotta Go There To Come Back", is a change from their intensely structured previous releases. Unfortunately, the track isn't as accessible or as epic as those we've seen before, and other bands have been more successful at this breezy style. Kelly Jones is still on top form on vocal duties, but this is unable to make much impact.
