Iio
|
Released: 2nd June 2003.
It's been over 18 months since iio stormed dancefloors and charts around the world with "Rapture", which featured probably the best remix of the last five years, courtesy of Creamer and Stephane K. So why the long wait? It was always going to be hard to follow up such a huge hit. This track has been around for over six months already - it was out in Australia last November - but is rather disappointing. Like its predecessor, it's solid, but none of the remixes elevate it to the lofty heights of "Rapture". It is, however, a grower, though I don't see a lot people sticking with it. And there's still no sign of the album we were promised in 2001...
Dance trio iio return after almost two years with "At The End". The song's very catchy, but also a little similar to "Rapture". Nadia sounds OK, but it seems as if she hasn't put any emotion or effort into the vocals. Having said that, this isn't really a tune that shows off vocal ability. So, good song, no originality. This probably won't do well due to lack of airplay, so I'd say it'll scrape the Top 40.
