Craig David's second album "Slicker Than Your Average" has so far failed to match the success of his debut. However, he was back on form with his last single "Rise & Fall" which narrowly missed the No. 1 spot. He's now following that up with one of the album's highlights, "Spanish", which sounds like nothing Craig has ever done before - this upbeat mix of R&B throws in some Latino vibes to create a perfect summer song. Although it doesn't come close to his previous hits such as "7 Days" and "Walking Away", this is still another great effort from Craig.

Single number four from "Slicker Than Your Average" is certainly a return to form for Craig David, following three quite average records. More so than most songs at present, "Spanish" is brimming with energy, which Craig is able to deliver almost to the best of his ability. This, coupled with the summery production, makes "Spanish" what it is, and just manages to outweigh the painfully poor lyrics.
