There's some songs that you have to be very daring to cover, and Bob Dylan's classic "Lay Lady Lay" is just one of them. Can the little known Magnet, and his more successful counterpart Gemma Hayes pull off a miracle? Truth be told, this isn't quite the epic it could have been. However, it's very good nonetheless - a relatively simple affair with a beautiful bass line and some interesting backing instrumentals. If you want the best version of this song, you still need to hear the original, but if you're a fan of the original, you'll have to admit this version does Bob justice.
