Sugababes
|
Released: 22nd March 2004.
Can the Sugababes do no wrong at the moment? The queens of cool return with the third cut from their outstanding album "Three". The edgy bassline grabs you instantly, whilst the girls' soulful, sexy vocals give this track some extra depth. After two pieces of perfect pop, can this track repeat the success of its predecessors? I believe it will!
Could this be the worst Sugababes single ever? Quite simply, yes. A dire effort from a group that gave us gems like "Overload" and "Freak Like Me". Where did it all go wrong? With its lightweight production and weak lyrics, if this is considered good enough for a release, I can't imagine what the album tracks must be like. A quick mention should also go to the cheap American-wannabe video that displays the girls' names across the screen, obviously readying an attack on the US market. I hope they return to form soon.
