Basement Jaxx
|
Released: 29th March 2004.
After featuring two other artists on the two previous singles from "Kish Kash", it's time for JC Chasez of *N Sync fame to step up to the plate. I wasn't a fan of either of this song's predecessors, but this one is simply in a league of its own. JC should move into dance more permanently - judging by this funky track, his voice couldn't suit it better.

I can't say whether JC's Vocals add to this song or not. What I can say, is that he doesn't sing in a typical boy band style. The true essence of Basement Jaxx is portrayed in the track, in that they use the same schemes in rhymes, synths and breaks. Commercially, I don't think it will be a club hit, but if you're a Basement Jaxx fan, you'll love it. The background vocals take the song to a new level, and the bassline will get you grooving and moving. Overall, I think this track is passable. They've done a good job using JC's vocals and still managing to sound credible, but it's average stuff really.
