Javine

Released: 9th August 2004.
The fourth single from the Popstars: The Rivals loser is the wonderful "Don't Walk Away". A cover of the Jade hit, Javine manages to capture the longevity of mid-90s R&B perfectly. Lifted from her "Surrender" album, this seems like a rushed follow up to her previous effort "Best Of My Love", especially when you consider her usual gaps (not the one between her teeth). However, it's most likely a case of too little, too late - Javine has never achieved her full potential, despite being thought of as a dead-cert for Girls Aloud a couple of years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if this was her last single.
Javine is back with her fourth single "Don't Walk Away". It's another mid-tempo pop track, much like her last effort "Best Of My Love". Javine is much more talented than several other artificially created 'popstars', but this track isn't her best. It's rather forgettable, the chorus isn't expressive, and the whole track isn't as catchy as her previous singles. As a result, this may well follow "Best Of My Love" and completely miss the Top 10.
