Bryan Adams
|
Released: 29th November 2004.
The rock legend is back with the second cut from his current album "Room Service". Unlike "Open Road", this new song is a kind of return to the times of "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)", as "Flying" is a beautiful rock ballad, melancholic and full of emotion. Bryan's distinctive vocals fit the melody perfectly, and the harmonies makes it one of his best efforts to date. It deserves to be a huge hit, but unfortunately it won't be.
Mr Adams has certainly started slipping in terms of quality lately. After the less than spectacular "Open Road" comes a ballad, something that Bryan used to specialise in, but surprisingly it's a very dull one with nothing much to add to the week's releases. A person who was once a rock/pop superstar has really lost it as far as I'm concerned. Maybe he needs a break?
