Billie Piper - Walk Of LifeWell here it is! The very long anticipated follow-up album to Billie's amazing debut "Honey To The B". This, the second album, definitely has some changes to her ealier material. If you're looking for the Billie of old you won't find her here, thats for sure. This new album has a totally different atmosphere and the tracks are more mature; which is a good thing considering that the sickly 'ode to love' songs appearing on her debut record were getting old.

Though many were shocked by the come back single "Day & Night" or the second single "Something Deep Inside" it seemed she wanted to become Ms B. Spears. However, it is quite clear on this record that Billie hasn't done this, instead making her own mix of funky and sweet pop.

Billie has achieved many things with this album - more musical credibility, a bigger fanbase and even songwriting credits with co-writing 5 of the 12 tracks (two of which were the first singles). The first time I listened to the album I didn't think much of it but that was also true with the first singles to come from it, it is a real grower.

The hard-hitting tracks like "Ring My Bell" or "Run That By Me" show Billie's welcomed, new style but don't forget the sweet candy pop we loved so much which returns again on the smooth gliding breezy "The Tide Is High". One of the most original ballads is "Safe With Me" it shows Billie can pull off anything. There is also the auccessor to "She Wants You" with the instantly catchy disco dance track "Because Of You". Finally come some new and interesting tracks adding yet another style which are a lot more acoustically based in the likes of "Misfocusing" or "What Game Is This?".

Whether you liked the old Billie or the new and improved Billie Piper it doesn't matter because both styles appear on the latest and I'm delighted to say its an enjoyable and quality album!
