Released: 17th July 2000.
Jon Secada took the time to write and record this latest offering, and I think it shows. The magic of the detail can easily charm the listener. The tiniest notes and adlibs are perfectly chosen.
The best tracks are "Speak To The Wind", "Break The Walls," "Better Part Of Me" and "Love's About To Change My Mind." The sassy "You Should Be Mine" is a nice surprise for any R&B fan, as Jon goes R Kelly on this one, and he does it with style.
Secada wouldn't be himself if he didn't include some romantic ballads on the album... "Lost Inside You" and "Where You're Gone" show off his powerful vocals, and are a perfect choice for a soulful evening.
The slight disappointments are the Latin tracks, as the production seems too big and chaotic. But maybe being in Miami and not in relatively cold Europe I'd be okay with hotter production. Who knows!
To sum up, it's a good album. I'm not sure if it's the best of Jon Secada, but it's still worth having.
