Brandy - AfrodisiacBrandy is one of R&B's biggest names that have never really set the UK charts alight. Will "Afrodisiac" change this?

The title track is the first major hit, setting high standards with its catchy chorus. The LP doesn't reach a new peak for a while, as "Who Is She 2 U?" is the same old bland R&B that the same old bland singers continuously try to force down our throats, and "Talk About Our Love" has worn a little thin.

Then "I Tried" comes along. Brandy is on top form, with amazingly strong vocals, brilliant lyrics, and even a plug to UK indie group Coldplay (which is what the track was originally named).

"Should I Go?" uses the piano sample from Coldplay's "Clocks", which would work brilliantly well, if the original version wasn't perfect already.

Despite a couple of gem tracks, the album as a whole scores average, with a lacklusture feel and zero captivity. Did this really take two years to write?
