Released: 11th October 2004.

It was the bizarre and addictive debut single "They" that announced the arrival of Jem on the UK music scene.

"Finally Woken" follows the style of "They", with most of the tracks having a distinct quality about them, "Come On Closer" and "Stay Now" being prime examples of that.

The album takes in many genres including R&B, which is most evident in the catchy "Save Me".

Compared to Dido, Jem charms with a similar chill-out tone seen in the title track and the album highlight, "Missing You".

The greatest moment is however on "24", a big rock song that could seriously impact the charts, with its catchy violin backing track.

Difficult to define this may be, but don't let that detail put you off this fine piece of music.
