London four-piece Battle have previously gone under the guise of "Killing Moon", the name taken from an Echo And The Bunnymen song. "Isabelle" is Bunnymen reminiscent with its mournful and stark feel. Comparisons can also be drawn from artists such as Bloc Party for its driving drumming and spiky guitars and from Interpol for the dark, dramatic vocals. While it showcases Battle at their most thoughtful, "Feel The Same" is more unrestrained and has a grittier feel. It is, however, less hooky and melodic and easily forgotten in comparison. An album deal has yet to be made, but with the quality of this single, record labels will be staging a battle to get their hands on these guys.
