What do you do when you're a rapper, and your girlfriend likes "R&B... not 'ip 'op"? Well, you and your hip-hop band mates create an R&B song. With clichéd lyrics like "Come baby come baby baby baby come", it's a blatant piss-take of both R&B and boy bands at once. It's actually a decent ballad - better than last year's seasonally slushy offering of "You Knows I Love You" - and shows a level of maturity in the guys alongside their trademark humour. Expect this to be a contender for a rather surprising Top 10 placing.
Hmmm. Goldie Lookin Chain. A puzzler really. Like The Darkness, people have found it hard to take them seriously. However, this new single, might just do that. A tale of a hip-hop lover trying to convert an R&B addict, it has some nice little acoustic-y riffs, and of course, their comedy style vocals and raps. Oh, and in case you're interested, the girl who plays Lisa in Hollyoaks is in the video as well. Interesting stuff.
