'Why?' is the question I invariably end up asking myself upon being presented with a dance remake of a track that was essentially dance in the first place! Rather predictably, this is vastly inferior to Ce Ce Peniston's classic original on all counts, but, in the interests of objectivity, it does at least have some reasonable production values, and there's still a decent song to be found underneath it all. Fans of the track looking for a more upbeat interpretation would probably be better off tracking down the 1997 re-release.
